In April, the Bureau released its fair lending report for 2016. The report summarizes enforcement actions and supervisory activities conducted in 2016.
The report also reaffirms its fair lending priorities for 2017, which include redlining, loan servicing, and small business lending.
As is the case with other agencies, the Bureau continues to emphasize the importance of risk mitigation with respect to institutions’s compliance management systems (CMS). The report also addresses coordination of inter-agency activities in terms of both supervision and enforcement.
We will be commenting on aspects of the report in the coming weeks.
